Medco Energi’s initial objective to enter downstream business is to monetize its Indonesian uncommitted natural gas. Along the line, the growing global demand of energy alternatives has brought MedcoEnergi’s downstream business unit to begin with development of renewable fuel industry, such as bio-fuel. In addition, the deregulation of the Indonesian downstream industry has attracted MedcoEnergi to invest in the fuels storage and distribution sector.With the new Corporate Strategy, MedcoEnergi now commits to develop a strong position in distribution and renewable fuels industry for its downstream businesses.
Currently, MedcoEnergi’s downstream business is operated by its wholly owned subsidiary, PT Medco Downstream Indonesia (MDI). This subsidiary is responsible to overseeing:
- The operation of Methanol Plant in Bunyu island, East Kalimantan.
- The operation of LPG Plant in Kaji, South Sumatra.
- The construction and future operation of Ethanol Plant in Kotabumi, northern Lampung.
- The operation of Fuel Storage Facility in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, and distribution of High Speed Diesel (HSD).
As continuous commitment to monetizing MedcoEnergi’s Indonesian upstream assets, MedcoEnergi and its partners, Mitsubishi Corporation and Pertamina Energy Services Pte Ltd establish a company that will construct and operate Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Plant in Senoro, Central Sulawesi, PT Donggi Senoro LNG (DSLNG) in late 2007. This LNG Plant will use gas-feedstock from Pertamina-MedcoEnergi’s Senoro Field and Pertamina’s Matindok Block.

Accounting Staff (code: ACCT)
Requirement :
- A degree (S1) in Accounting.
- Relevant min. 3 years experience as Finance & Accounting Staff.
- Preferably had experience working as an Auditor.
- Strong finance skill, incl. reports and cash flow
- Good understanding in system & procedure for finance transaction process.
- Good English both written and orally.
- Good working attitude and characters.
- Analytic thinking and creative.
- Well-organized, and detailed oriented.
- Hard-working and Initiative.
- Keen on new challenges.
- Stationed in: Jakarta Selatan
Sales Executive (code: SE)
Requirement :
- Bachelor degree in Chemical or Industrial Engineering form from reputable local/international university
- Male/Female, max. 27 year old, with good appearance
- Min. 3 years working experience in the position
- Have own vehicle (car)
- Good in English both oral written and spoken is a MUST
- Have In depth understanding in oil & gas retail business and shipping, would be advantage
- Good leadership
- Good interpersonal, communication and relations skills
- Strong skill in planning & analyzing
- Good negotiation skill
- Good monitoring, controlling and decision making
- Hard working and initiative
- Good working attitude and character
- Keen on a new challenges
- Stationed in Kalibaru, Tanjung Priok
